An outdoor yoga class and conversation about Black women and Mental Health
During the pandemic when there has been over a year of seclusion due to social distancing and being under quarantine, many of us had to deal with depression, anxiety, anger and other forms of mental illness. In the Black community, though it is now being discussed, we still have a lot of practical work to do to combat mental illness. One weapon we can use is self-care and practicing yoga is a way to practice self care. This yoga class will combine practicing self-care and having candid conversations about mental health and its impact on Black women.
