FARE | Food Access Raises Everyone is working with the City of Cleveland to develop a new, inclusive vision for the West Side Market that reflects the amazing diversity and cultures of our city in its customers, vendors, foods, and community partners. FARE is intentionally bringing these Common Ground conversations to Cleveland neighborhoods most impacted by a lack of access to healthy food and that have not been a part of past discussions related to the City’s only public market and this nationally recognized gem.
This conversation will focus on engaging Cleveland residents to think and dream big about how to create a future for our city’s market that honors its past and embraces our city’s present and future. FARE wants to make space for your ideas and build community connections as we reimagine how this market can improve access to healthy foods and offer new economic opportunities for more Cleveland residents.
If you are a Cleveland resident, food entrepreneur, or community partner, please join us for good conversation and good food! Bring your thoughts and questions and help build a shared vision for the West Side Market that will expand its outreach and impact throughout the city of Cleveland.
This Common Ground conversation will be outside. Light refreshments will be served. An arts and crafts table will be available onsite for parents and caregivers with young children.
FARE | Food Access Raises Everyone engages and builds the capacity of community members and partners with grassroots organizations to address key issues, including access to healthy food, in Cleveland’s neighborhoods.
